Concord/Lunenburg 5-8 Coed Soccer at Riverside 9/30

The KESD-Concord/Lunenburg 5-8 Soccer team played on the road at Riverside and had their best game of the season. They showed great teamwork and communication, and were rewarded with a 2-0 victory. The entire team contributed, played with determination and an aggressiveness that they had been missing. Makayla Savage scored both goals on assists from Madison Amadon and Brianna Bunnell. Conner Putvain controlled the midfield with help from Mujji Johnson, Tyson Fortin and Zumye Chance. Ashtyn Chadburn, Aliah Hale, Mya Barney, Payton Cochran, and McKenna Amadon kept the backfield under lock and key allowing minimal shots on the goal. Darby Peters was a force with his "mullet shake" in the goal, totalling nine saves in the complete game shutout! Congratulations to all the athletes on their first victory of the season, we are so proud of you!! The 5-8 team is back in action Saturday at Waterford at 11 am.
