The Concord/Lunenburg 5-8 Coed Soccer team had a great first game!

The Concord/Lunenburg 5-8 Coed Soccer team had a great first game. The match with Riverside was an evenly played, competitive game that saw the first half end in a scoreless tie. Both teams had opportunities to score, but the defensive lines held strong. Defensive backs Aliah Hale, Payton Cochran, Mya Barney, and McKenna Amadon locked down the back field helping hold Riverside scoreless. Goalkeeper Brianna Bunnell had eight saves in her shut out half.


The 2nd half saw Riverside get off to a fast start scoring two goals quickly. Madison Amadon had a stellar game on the wing and had some of the team's best scoring opportunities. Ashtyn Cadburn was a spark from the half back position, keeping the ball moving in transition. Conner Putvain had six saves in the 2nd half. The final score was 3-0.
