Concord/Lunenburg 7/8 Girls Soccer v Twinfield 10/21

The Concord/ Lunenburg 5-8 girls soccer team played the Twinfield girls Thursday night in the 1st all girls game of the season. The girls came out of the gate aggressive and on the attack. Communication and spacing were keys to the game.



A direct kick from Mya Barney at mid field resulted in a goal from a crashing Madisyn Amadon. Barney got the assist.

Twinfield girls struck back and evened the game at 1-1 just before half time.

Makayla Savage worked the keeper spot in the first half with 6 saves and only 1 goal allowed.


When the 2nd half started, the girls were back on the attack, keeping the ball advanced into the offensive end for the first 16 minutes of the 30 minute half.

They were able to break through again for a score on a spectacular throw-in from Ashtyn Chadburn that saw Mya Barney chip the ball over to Makayla Savage for the goal. Barney again got the assist.


Twinfield took a few great shots at the end of the half, but MaKenna Amadon, in her first attempt at keeper, kept them from tying the game up. MaKenna ended with 5 saves. KESD 5-8 girls went on to win 2-1. Great game ladies!!
