Expanding Access to Adventure: NorthWoods Stewardship Center  Launches Adaptive Sports Programming

December 2, 2025

Kingdom East School District is thrilled to share some exciting news with our community! This winter, our friends at NorthWoods Stewardship Center will be offering brand-new adaptive sports opportunities for students—an important step in ensuring that every learner can fully participate in outdoor experiences.

Thanks to the incredible support of Adaptive Sports Partners, NorthWoods is now equipped with a range of adaptive sports equipment designed to make their programs accessible to ALL students. This new equipment will be available during school trips and activities at the NorthWoods Stewardship Center, breaking down barriers and opening the door for every student to explore, learn, and thrive in outdoor settings.

At Kingdom East, we couldn’t be more excited—or more grateful—to partner with such a thoughtful, forward-thinking organization. NorthWoods’ commitment to connecting all people with place through science, education, and action aligns beautifully with our values, and we are deeply appreciative of their efforts to make outdoor education inclusive for every student in our district.

We look forward to an empowering winter season full of adventure, accessibility, and joyful learning for all!
