Athletic Game Attendance Policy

Please read carefully this message from David McGinn, Athletic Director regarding COVID GAME ATTENDANCE.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN: Who can attend KESD Basketball games this winter? What are the expectations?

I have been holding off on posting these guidelines for attending basketball games this winter. With the increase in cases everywhere, and specifically in our region, I was waiting to see if guidance from the Vermont Department of Health or the VPA would change. It has not. Therefore, we will begin the season with the following guidelines for attending basketball games at either the Concord School or Lyndon Town School. The focus is on minimizing attendance, while allowing immediate family to be at the games. Our guidelines are similar to those at the schools where we play on the road except for one. At present, games at North Country will only allow for two "tickets" per player.

We are happy to have basketball back in the gym, and look forward to your support for our teams. That support will need to include the following:

  • All must be properly masked.
  • We request that spectators be limited to the immediate family members of players.
  • Spectators should not bring food or drink into the gym.
  • Family groups should socially distance from other groups.
  • Spectators should leave the building immediately after the game.
  • Anyone with symptoms of Covid must stay at home.
  • If a spectator of a recent game comes down with Covid, they or a family member should contact the Vermont Department of Health to initiate contract tracing.  The school will only be responsible for athletes and their coaches.
