Chad Simpson also served as a Kingdom East School District Board member for several years. Chad Simpson holds an Associate of Science in Architectural and Building Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology, both from Vermont Technical College. He expanded his academic credentials with a Master of Education focusing on change implementation from Southern New Hampshire University, followed by a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in School Leadership with a principal endorsement from Saint Michael's College.
Throughout his career, Mr. Simpson has demonstrated a strong commitment to educational leadership and supporting students as whole people. His leadership philosophy centers on honesty, accountability, respect, collaboration, and continuous growth. He believes effective leadership means setting high expectations while creating a supportive environment where staff and students feel comfortable trying new things, learning from mistakes, and advocating for themselves.
Mr. Simpson emphasizes leading by example, working alongside others, honoring commitments, and building trust through consistent actions. He also values inclusion and equity, recognizing the importance of ensuring diverse perspectives are heard and respected in building a strong school community.
As principal, Mr. Simpson will work closely with Newark Street School students, staff, families, and community members to support the school’s continued growth and success. He will have the opportunity to build upon the school’s strengths while fostering a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
Chad Simpson grew up in Sutton, Vermont, where he attended Lyndon Town School, Burke Town School, and Sutton School before attending Lyndon Institute for high school. He lives with his wife, four children and two dogs in Lyndon. Kingdom East welcomes Chad Simpson to Newark Street School and looks forward to supporting him, the staff, students, families, and community as they begin this next chapter together.
