Kingdom East Track and Field June 1

The Track + Field team completed it’s season yesterday at North Country in a seven team meet.

The Girls Team finished 3rd, and the Boys Team 5th.

Each team continued to shine in the running events.

Boys:

Alex Lynaugh - 3rd 400 meters

Russell Desjardins - 3rd 800 and 1500 meters, 10th Long Jump

4 x 400 Team (Alex, Russell, Jonah Higgins and Linden van der Linde) 1st

Conall Kennedy - 9th Shot Put

Cody Cass - 11th Discus

Connor Tanner - 4th High Jump


Girls:

Isabelle Butler - 1st 100 and 200 meters

Elise D’Ambra - 3rd 200 meters and 8th Long Jump

Stella van der Linde - 1st 800 and 1500 meters

Samantha Hansel - 2nd 1500 meters

4 x 400 Team (Elise, Samantha, Mayan Hickman, and Harper Allen) 1st

Ava Rapkowicz - 10th Discus

Lydia Bentley - 4th High Jump


In their inaugural season the team performed brilliantly. We thank their coaches Jennifer Noyes, Alison Kennedy, and Kylie Harris for beginning a great new program in KESD Athletics.


We already look forward to next Spring and hope to double the teams size. Great job!
