Concord/Lunenburg 5-8 Coed Soccer at Waterford Tournament 10/16

The 5-8 soccer team participated in the Waterford Cup on Saturday. The team played in two exciting and competitive games.

The first game saw the team play Good Shepherd Catholic School. A very equally matched game saw a quick 2nd half goal for Good Shepherd be the difference in the game, with Good Shepherd taking the 1-0 win.

The 2nd game of the day saw another equal and exciting game between the Kingdom East Concord/Lunenburg team and Riverside. Both teams played hard and ended in a tie. After allowing only one goal on the day, that left our KESD team in a tie with the Lyndon KESD team.

Both teams had a five player penalty kick shootout to advance into the 3rd and 4th place game. Conner Putvain, Caiden Johnson, Ashtyn Chadburn, Madisyn Amadon and Makayla Savage took penalty kicks for Concord/Lunenburg, with Brianna Bunnell keeping the goal.

Bunnell allowed only 2 of 5 LTS players to score. Ashtyn Chadburn scored the lone Concord/Lunenburg goal, with LTS advancing with a score of 2-1. Great job to the team in all their play!
