Flood Recovery Volunteers Needed in KESD Towns!

KESD Families and Staff! We have all seen the devastation of the July 2024 floods. Though we have made great progress in the last two weeks, KURRVE (Kingdom United Resilience and Recovery Effort) members are still out assessing towns and villages for folks who need help. KURRVE is in desperate need of volunteer muck and gut crews for Friday (Gilman area), Saturday, and Sunday (Concord area and beyond). This phase is not over for so many in the NEK, and KURRVE volunteers who have been at it for days are exhausted trying to get around the 2,000+ square miles of the Kingdom.


  • No experience required!
  • You will receive a brief training and supplies and protective equipment.

  1. If you are an employer, please consider mobilizing a work team to help out. 
  2. If you are a community or church group that can assemble a few folks to help out - Please do. 
  3. If you have a few friends who can spare a few hours, please help out.


Volunteer crews (4 minimum) who can get together on a certain day for a 4 hour time-frame, please contact Meghan Wayland ASAP at (802) 624-0406. Meghan can build a schedule that fits yours.

Muck & Gut Crews will need:

  • Muck boots
  • Clothes that can get dirty
  • Water
  • BUG SPRAY 
  • Work gloves, masks, respirators, goggles, tyvek suits, and other protective equipment will be on-site but please also feel free to bring your own.
