Free Screening of “Every Day, Big and Small” at Lyndon Institute

November 5, 2026

Lyndon Institute invites community members to a special free screening of Every Day, Big and Small, a new documentary by Vermont filmmaker Bess O’Brien. The screening will take place at 7:00 PM in the Lyndon Institute Auditorium, with a Q&A session with Bess O’Brien following the film. No pre-registration is required. Community members are welcome to attend.

Recently completing a statewide tour, Every Day, Big and Small features a collection of stories highlighting people, communities, and organizations across Vermont who are making a difference through acts of kindness, generosity, and support for others.

The screening is part of Lyndon Institute’s ongoing efforts to build a kinder, more empathetic, and compassionate school community. Longtime Spanish teacher Chris Manges received a 2026 Rowland Fellowship to help strengthen the school’s culture and climate through his Voyage to Kindness project. The initiative brings together students, teachers, administrators, and counselors to help create an environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

Through Voyage to Kindness, Lyndon Institute hopes to make these values more visible throughout the school and extend them into the greater community. The film offers an opportunity to celebrate the good happening across Vermont and share an inspiring message as the community approaches the Thanksgiving holiday.

All community members are encouraged to attend this free event and enjoy an evening celebrating the everyday acts, both big and small, that make a difference.
