October 14, 2022 Game Summary --

Kingdom East North travelled to Bradford to face Oxbow this past Friday. Oxbow pressed the action from the start. They took the opening possession deep into KESD territory and threatened to score. Eventually Kingdom East managed to gain possession and pressure the Oxbow defense. It was a back and forth affair in the first half but neither team managed to score.

Kingdom East started with the ball in the second half and looked like a different team. The passing was much better and KESD managed to establish control in the midfield. The passing eventually opened a lane for Gabe Adams to make a run at goal. After touching around a couple of defenders Adams blasted a shot that was fumbled by the keeper into the goal for the games first score. It wasn't long before KESD had another opportunity to score. Tatum Steen dribbled to the end line and crossed the ball in front of the goal where Garrett Mitchell was waiting to finish. Mitchell calmly placed the ball past the keeper to make the score 2-0 in favor of KESD.

Oxbow created some opportunities of their own but tie and again the center back duo of Lucas Switser and Ollie May repeatedly intercepted the efforts and turn away Oxbow's efforts. Late in the game Oxbow found the moment they had been waiting for. With one player to be an Oxbow player surely would have had a strong chance to score but Grant Tucker stepped to the ball and deflected it from the attacking Oxbow player. That would be Oxbow's last best chance. Near the end of the match KESD was awarded a corner kick. Tatum Steen sent a ball in front of the net and Graham Moriarty headed the ball in cleanly to make the score 3-0. It was a hard fought match against a very fast Oxbow team.

Kingdom East moves to 6 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw for the season. Their next match is home at 4:30 on Thursday against North Country.
