October 6, 2022 Game Summary --

The KESD Lyndon squad was finally at full numbers again, as they walked away with a solid win over KESD Burke, 5-0.

Pace Mckinnon scored a hat trick throughout the play, two of them being unassisted and one assisted by Grayson Bias. Both Grayson and Reid Moriarty also each added a goal a piece to the final scoring tally, both off of penalty kicks.

The Lyndon side was locked down by their strong defensive lines, as well as shared goalie duties by Korbin Kirchoff and Luca Bianco. “Our team looked great today. They did well communicating, following shots, and containing the ball on the outside for when the other team approached our neutral zone. I also am impressed with the showing of goalie skills from our younger guys. This will definitely set things up nicely for the future 5/6 squad for next season, when all of our second year players move on” says Coach Bias.

Lyndon had other opportunities on goal, but the Burke team did a great job stopping them. Connor Tanner did a fine job in the Burke net against some strong feet from Lyndon. With Burke's numbers being low, both teams agreed to play an 8v8 game.

“I think the other team did a great job today, being low in numbers and subs. They never backed down and kept us on our toes. They showed great heart and improvement, since the last time we faced them. I can only hope that they will also regain all of their numbers again before the end of the season and finish strong” said Coach Bias.

The Lyndon team looks to finish their long week of soccer with a home jamboree at the LTS fields on Saturday, October 8th. Their two matches will start off at 11:50 and 12:40.
