Kingdom East Track and Field Hosted First Meet May 12

The KESD Track + Field team hosted its first ever meet yesterday at Lyndon Institute. It was a hot afternoon, and the team responded with an equally hot performance with the girls finishing second, and the boys third.


Girls: (team sweeps individual running events!)


Isabelle Butler - 1st 100 meters and 200 m

Elise D'Ambra - 1st 400 m and 3rd Long Jump

Stella van der Linde - 1st 800 m

Ava Rapkowicz - 3rd 800 m

Samantha Hensel - 1st 1500 m

4 x 100 m relay team (Harper Allen, Isabelle, Stella and Lyda Bentley) 2nd

4 x 400 m relay team (Samantha, Lyda, Stella, and Emilia Brothers) 1st

Lyda Bentley - 3rd in the High Jump


Boys:


Alex Lynaugh - 1st 400 m and 3rd 800m

Linden van der Linde - 1st 1500m and 2nd High Jump

Jonah Huggins - 3rd 1500 m


Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding performance in just their second meet!
