Middle School Configurations for the 2023-24 School Year

May 10, 2023

Dear Kingdom East Parents, Guardians and Families,

We are facing personnel shortages next year and we also need to thoughtfully plan a long term teaching and facilities solution.

Considering being predictably unpredictable, we have all read about our neighboring districts. This past school year, in the fall, one district had to make difficult decisions regarding a middle school and dispersing students throughout the other schools in the district. We can take the time, now through the summer, to anticipate and plan.  The work is both essential and urgent and better done prior to the start of the school year.

Kingdom East School District will be holding Middle Grades Community Input Sessions for each individual school. These meetings can be attended in person, or online via Zoom. The purpose of these Input Session is to help brainstorm our schools future. We are facing personnel shortages next year and need to thoughtfully plan a long term teaching and facilities solution.
