KINGDOM EAST XC RUNNING

Important Documents & Forms:

K-4 Grade XC Running (Non-Competitive)

This program specifically emphasizes a non-competitive approach and prioritizes participation, personal growth, and enjoyment. All K-4th grade students are welcome to join, regardless of their current running ability or prior experience, ensuring an environment where every child can participate.

Campus Run Programs:

An afterschool running framework hosted directly on school campuses.

Focuses entirely on participation, games, and discovering outdoor fun in a supportive setting.

Exhibition Meets:

Young runners will also have an exciting opportunity to participate in one or two friendly, non-competitive XC meets this season!

  • 2 days a week afterschool (typically 3:30 - 5:00 PM)
  • Campus program locations are currently being finalized

5th-8th Grade XC Running

Whether you're a seasoned runner or have never laced up a pair of running shoes before, everyone is welcome regardless of experience! Our program is designed to be inclusive, fostering a love for running in a supportive and fun environment. While the emphasis is on participation and personal growth, there will also be a competitive aspect for those who enjoy pushing their limits.

Healthy Habits:

Our program is highly inclusive, fostering a love for outdoor running in a supportive, fun environment. Runners build strong sportsmanship while mastering critical running skills.

Core Focus:

Healthy running posture to run easily, smart pacing strategies to keep up energy, and easy warm-up/cool-down stretches.

Unified Team & Venues:

  • Consolidated Program: The 5th-8th grade program (previously run in two separate locations) will more than likely operate as one unified team this season.
  • Diverse Locations: Practices and runs will rotate among Lyndon Town School, Burke Town School, Kingdom Trails, and other area locations.
  • Practices: 2-3 times a week (3:00 - 5:00 PM) | 3-5 local events.
