KINGDOM EAST XC RUNNING
K-4 Grade XC Running (Non-Competitive)
This program specifically emphasizes a non-competitive approach and prioritizes participation, personal growth, and enjoyment. All K-4th grade students are welcome to join, regardless of their current running ability or prior experience, ensuring an environment where every child can participate.
Focus on Fun and Exploration
The program uses games, varied activities, and positive encouragement to make running enjoyable. The goal is to foster a love for physical activity and running, rather than creating pressure to perform at a certain level.
Afterschool Convenience
Taking place after school hours, the program provides a structured and safe outlet for physical activity and enrichment, making it accessible for families and integrating seamlessly into the school day.
Multiple Locations for Accessibility
To make the program as accessible as possible for families across the district, the KESD K-4th grade XC program will operate out of multiple locations. Tentatively, these include: Lyndon Town School, Burke Town School, & Newark School
Practice Schedule
Students will practice two times a week, afterschool between 3:30 & 5:00pm. There are no set days currently. Students may attend the KEAP program before practice as long as registration has been approved by the site coordinator at the school.
